Sending a transaction means the transaction is sent to your trading partner's organization in Orderful. Your partner can see the transaction and then send the same transaction to one of their communication channels. - When sending an inbound transaction, you’re the receiver of the transaction.
Sending a transaction means the transaction is sent to one of your communication channels based on what you configured in your relationship.
Send a transaction for the first time
Transactions are automatically or manually sent depending on the auto-send option you have configured at the relationship level:
- Auto-send option is On: Transactions are automatically sent when they become Valid.
- Auto-send option is Off: Transactions must be manually sent.
To manually send a specific transaction:
- Click on a transaction.
- Click on the Send icon.
- Select Send.
- Click on Confirm.
A success message appears to confirm the transaction has been sent.
To manually send one or several transactions:
- Open the transaction list view.
- Click on the Send icon.
- Select Send.
Checkboxes appear on the left side of each transaction row. - Select the transactions you want to send by clicking on the corresponding checkboxes.
- Click on Send XX transactions.
A success message appears to confirm the number of transactions that have been sent. If Orderful is unable to send some transactions, an error message appears.
When a transaction is sent to a communication channel or to a trading partner, the transaction delivery status moves to Sent. Orderful then updates the transaction status when the delivery outcome is confirmed: Failed or Delivered.

Resend a transaction
You can also manually resend any valid inbound or outbound transactions that are sent to a partner not onboarded in Orderful.
When resending a transaction, you have 2 options:
- Resend: Send the same transaction as was previously sent.
- Reprocess and send: Re-apply rules to the transaction before resending it.
Resending a transaction resets the transaction delivery status to Sent. Orderful then updates the transaction status when the delivery outcome is confirmed: Failed or Delivered.
